This statement relates to ACTcloud Services Limited’s privacy practices in connection with the ACTcloud.net website (the website) and related software application (ACTvisitor). We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of other websites. Any external links to other websites are clearly identifiable as such.

ACTcloud Services Limited fully respects your right to privacy, and will not collect any personal information about you on this website or on ACTvisitor without your clear permission. Any personal information which you volunteer to the Commissioner will be treated with the highest standards of security and confidentiality, strictly in accordance with the Data Protection ACTs, 1988 & 2003.

Collection and Use of Personal Information

In order to enable visitors to our website to see certain pages, when specifically requested by them, we require some contact information, (such as name, and e-mail address).

The information collected on the website shall be used for the purposes specified when it was collected, to respond to visitor’s inquiries, and fulfil e-mail messaging programs to notify visitors about new content or services on our website.

In order to enable you to use ACTvisitor to manage visitors to your premises we may require some personal data, (such as name, company name, e-mail address and mobile phone number) for the person expecting the visitor and the visitor.

The information collected on ACTvisitor will be used for the purposes of

  • scheduling a visit
  • notifying the visitor and the person expecting a visitor
  • reminding the visitor and the person expecting a visitor

 

Any information given to us shall be stored and managed with the greatest care, and will not be used in ways to which you have not consented. We will not sell, rent, or exchange such personally identifiable information to any other organization or entity. Notwithstanding the above, we may indeed disclose personal information if required to do so by subpoenas, court orders or legal process or when such disclosure is made for establishment or exercise of legal rights or in defending against legal claim, or as otherwise required by law.

If you decide you no longer wish to receive postal mailings and/or e-mails from us, please let us know by sending an e-mail or writing to us and telling us you no longer wish to receive postal mail and/or e-mail. Please provide us with your exact name, postal address, and/or e-mail address. We will make sure your name is removed from our mailing list.

The ACTvisitor software application uses a session cookie. This cookie is only stored in your browser memory while you are logged in to the application. It is used to personalize and improve your experience. It automatically deletes itself immediately on logging out and there is no record of the cookie stored on your computer.

Links on this Site to websites are provided as a convenience to you. Such linked sites are outside our control and responsibility and are not covered by this policy. If you use any such linked sites, you should consult the privacy policies posted on those websites.

User's Data

On request, we supply copies of your personal data which you may have supplied via the website or ACTvisitor. If you wish to obtain such copies, you must write to ACTcloud Services Limited at the address below or email support@actcloud.net. You should include any personal identifiers which you supplied earlier via the website (e.g. name, address, phone number, e-mail address). Your request will be dealt with as soon as possible and will take not more than 40 days to process.

If you discover that we hold inaccurate information about you, you can request us to correct that information. Such request must be in writing or via e-mail.

Upon a user's request, we shall remove the user's data from the website. All removed user's data shall be kept for three additional months (offline) before deletion.

Security

We have implemented security safeguards designed to protect the personal information that you provide in accordance with industry standards. Access to your data on ACTvisitor is password-protected, and sensitive data (such as credit card information) is protected by SSL encryption when it is exchanged between your web browser and the website or ACTvisitor. We also offer secure https access to the website. To protect any data you store on our servers, we also regularly monitor our system for possible vulnerabilities and attacks, and we use a tier-one secured-access data center. However, since the Internet is not a 100% secure environment, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information that you transmit to ACTvisitor. There is no guarantee that information may not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed by breach of any of our physical, technical, or managerial safeguards. It is your responsibility to protect the security of your login information. Please help keep your account safe by using a strong password.

Limitation of Liability

Under no circumstances, including but not limited to negligence, shall we be liable for any special or consequential damages that results from the use of, or the inability to use, the website and the materials in it.

Without derogating the aforementioned, in no event shall our total liability exceed the amount paid by you, if any, for accessing the site.
